PROJECT: THE HANDMAID’S TALE (Season 3)

My very first assignment at Hulu was to create a series of episodic promos for The Handmaid’s Tale. No small task. The Emmy-award winning show, in its third season, was a massive hit for the streaming service. The challenge in creating promos for its 3rd campaign was to keep the voice of the promos consistent, year-over-year, while adding a new twist for the current season.
Season 3 begins with June in the Waterfords’ home during a period of great upheaval. As the story unfolds, we see June (played brilliantly by Elizabeth Moss) maneuver her way through the patriarchal minefields of Gilead society.
Through cunning , suffering, and good fortune, June becomes a leader among “The Resistance”, a clandestine group of operatives who oppose Gilead’s leadership and totalitarian principles. We watch on as she relentlessly attempts to reunite with her daughter and escape the oppression that has hijacked her life and the lives of countless others.
