Shot over the course of one 18-hour day, Thank You chronicles the fun and positive vibes at Central Cali’s premier music festival.
With many different vignettes to highlight on the day of the event, it was important to have as many cameras as possible to capture the energy of the event in all its forms. Most of the footage you see here was shot on a handful of Sony FS7s, with the exception of one Arri Alexa Mini.
Although we worked from a loose shot list, I put the pressure on my team to capture as many spontaneous moments on the festival grounds as possible. Our motto was, "if we don’t record it, it didn’t happen." With that in concept in mind, we all kept a vigilant eye out for the spontaneous moment. The Grizzlyfest 2017 event was a big hit and is quickly becoming one of the Fresno, California’s most prized annual celebrations.
